Jeisilan Sivalingam, 41, is a Process Manager at a multinational chemical company. He specializes in helping companies to optimize their efficiency and boost productivity, as well as minimize their costs. Jeisilan’s political consciousness was awakened in his teens, when he attended rallies by the late opposition stalwart J.B. Jeyaretnam. Hailing from a humble background, Jeisilan was inspired by JBJ’s passion and his vision of government: one which brought people from all walks of life together and left no one behind. To that end, Jeisilan would like to see a government that is more receptive to the voices and the needs of ordinary Singaporeans. He believes that this will only be possible if the PAP’s political monopoly is challenged.
